Tammy Turner 

Tammy has worked as a coaching professional since 2001, directly supporting individuals’ growth in a coaching context as well as designing and teaching coaching-centred programs.

She is ranked in the top 4% of the International Coaching Federation’s global members as a Master Certified Coach (MCC), an ICF registered mentor coach and a qualified Coaching Supervisor. 

Professional Philosophy and Experience

Tammy Turner has supported coaches, human resources professionals and leaders who coach to be their best since 2007. As the Tammy is committed to coaching becoming a reputable, self-regulating profession that adds compelling value to both its coaches and the people whom they support.

As a volunteer, some of the projects she’s helped out with include the ICF Supervision Task Force, who have put together the recommendation which defined the differences between coach mentoring and supervision, including supervision in coach learning logs for credentialing. As Immediate Past Director, Professional Standards’ ICF Australia, she initiated the free to member virtual education “Coach Talks” series. She previously co-developed the design and content for the Helmsman Project, a 13-week personal and team adventure-based coaching program for young people from schools located in communities affected by disadvantage.

To educate the coaching community, Tammy has worked with a few universities, training organizations and other special interest groups to highlight what coaching is and is not, the differences between mentoring and supervision and bring coaching behind closed doors and into the open. Her hope is to help coaches keep coaching fresh for both the experienced coach and growing newer coach to go beyond their limitations for sustainable results.

As a coaching mentor, Tammy is comfortable with identifying, delivering suggested areas for growth and supporting the coaches throughout their learning journey. Tammy believes that to mentor you also need to continually learn. She has over 1,000 coach specific training hours and continues to add to her experience.

As a teacher and fostering change, Tammy draws upon over 10,000 hours of client facing coaching hours including individual, team, group and cultural change initiatives. She can communicate key coaching concepts and demonstrate masterful application so others can see them in action. She has co-developed coaching programs for large corporates and not for profit organisations, including the Helmsman Project for at risk teenagers.
